- Description
プログラム概略 - Interns are to learn about the roles of the OIE and how OIE international meetings are organised through actual participation in the meeting. The interns will help preparation of the meeting after an orientation on 2 October 2017 and will participate in the OIE Regional Expert Group Meeting for the Control of Avian Influenza in Asia as supporting staff of the OIE on 3-5 October 2017 in Sapporo. In addition, the interns will be given lectures on OIE activities by staff of OIE Regional Representation for Asia and the Pacific in Japanese or in English for 2 days on 18-19 December 2017 in Tokyo.

If you are interested in working for international organisations, this intern programme will provide you with a good opportunity to experience their activities. World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) is the intergovernmental organisation responsible for improving animal health worldwide and has a total of 181 Member Countries. OIE’s international standards, which are designed to prevent and control animal diseases while ensuring the sanitary safety of world trade in animals and animal products, are recognised as references by the World Trade Organization (WTO) . OIE Regional Representation for Asia and the Pacific is preparing to hold OIE Regional Expert Group Meeting for the Control of Avian Influenza in Asia, in Sapporo on 3-5 October 2017. The meeting will provide a regional platform for discussion on current issues, challenges and progress for the future in tackling influenza in animals. You can participate in the meeting as an observer and note taker and work as supporting staff for meeting logistic. In addition, you will learn about the OIE and its activities through follow-up lectures to be held in the office of the OIE Regional Representation for Asia and the Pacific in Tokyo.
